Stay in Jamaican Villas and Hotels

25 August 2009

When traveling to the Caribbean, many people choose to stay at villas and hotels in Jamaica. This island has something for everyone, right from adventure to relaxation. Read on for a guide to getting the most out of your Jamaican vacation.

  1. Most villas and hotels have a plenty of restaurants for their guests. Each restaurant usually specializes in serving a particular cuisine. This allows visitors to experience a variety of dining experiences. Don’t forget to try out as many different types of cuisine as possible.
  2. Jamaica is known for its Jerk dishes, which is fish, chicken, or pork, cooked in local spices. The best place to try Jamaican Jerk dishes is to visit the many food stalls located all along the beaches on the island. Alternatively, most restaurants in villas and hotels on the island also serve this Jamaican delicacy.
  3. Booking time is an essential part of the Jamaican vacation. Christmas time is peak season and most villas and hotels in Jamaica are fully booked at this time. Room prices are higher during peak season and reservations must be made months in advance to avoid disappointment.
  4. Alternatively, bookings for villas and hotels can be made during the off season of June to November. It is easy to get rooms during these months and prices are also much lower than those at Christmas time. The downside to these months is that it is hurricane season. Hurricanes are most likely to occur during the August, September, and parts of October but the preceding and following months too see lots of rain.
